AT&T Is Leaving. Downtown Is Done.

For months, we’ve warned that crime and unchecked homelessness would push businesses out of downtown Dallas. We were told we were overreacting. But now, it’s happening.

A longtime AT&T employee confirmed what many suspected: the company’s leadership is already planning to move out of downtown. After multiple employees were assaulted during their lunch breaks — with no meaningful response from the city — executives began searching for a new headquarters. Plano, Mesquite, and McKinney are all on the table. According to the employee, who has worked with AT&T for over 25 years, “their mind is made up.”
City leaders are scrambling behind the scenes to talk AT&T out of leaving. But that conversation should’ve happened years ago — back when residents and workers first started begging for safer streets. This isn’t just about one company. AT&T is the warning shot. If they go, others will follow. Downtown Dallas is on the verge of a mass exodus.
To make matters worse, while AT&T employees were being assaulted downtown, the company’s lobbyists were actively fighting Senate Bill 1145 — legislation that would bring greater transparency and accountability to Public Improvement Districts (PIDs), the zones responsible for maintaining safety and cleanliness downtown. Instead of demanding real solutions, AT&T sided with powerful business interests to protect the status quo. The dysfunction runs deeper than any press release will admit — and the public is being left in the dark.
It’s time for Dallas leaders to stop protecting failed systems and start protecting the people. Contact your City Council member today and demand they make public safety the top priority — before there’s nothing left to save.

Press Highlights:
Dallas 911 Calls Now Averaging Hours—Where’s the Leadership? After years of City Hall ignoring police staffing needs, urgent 911 calls in Dallas are now averaging hours of wait time. This isn’t just a delay, it’s a public safety collapse in real time.
New Dallas Police Chief Silenced on Key Issues
New Dallas Police Chief Daniel Comeaux will earn $310,000 a year plus bonuses, but when asked about hiring shortages, immigration, and 911 delays, city staff refused to let him answer. Dallas deserves real leadership, not a PR puppet on a taxpayer-funded salary.
After $30M Stemmons Debacle, Dallas Spends $52M More
The Stemmons Building disaster proves City Hall’s incompetence runs deep. Dallas spent nearly $30 million buying and renovating the building without proper inspections, permits, or safety fixes—then abandoned it. Now they’ve turned around and spent $52 million on another property. Unreal.

Tracking Illegal Camps:

District 2, Councilman Jesse Moreno

Median Panhandling with a Dog

Right in the median of Harry Hines Blvd, a woman and her dog sit exposed to traffic, holding a cardboard sign while surrounded by bags, belongings, and a rolling cart. This isn’t compassion, it’s neglect. Councilman Jesse Moreno, what could be a solution—for her and  for the public?

District 6, Councilman Omar Narvaez

“Concrete Bed”

In the middle of a business lot off N Stemmons Fwy, a man lays on the bare pavement surrounded by a few belongings, exposed to the elements and passing traffic. This is what homelessness looks like in broad daylight in District 6. Councilman Omar Narvaez, when will you start steering people toward real solutions instead of letting this lifestyle take root?

District 2, Councilman Jesse Moreno

“Field Camp on South Blvd”

Tucked under a tree in an open field along South Blvd, this lone tent is surrounded by garbage, old furniture, and overgrown weeds. It’s not just an eyesore—it’s a sign of a deeper failure. Councilman Jesse Moreno, when will the city start guiding people off the streets instead of letting this spread?
