Keep Dallas Safe Needs Your Support!
As a resident of Dallas, we know you are aware of the upward trend in violent crime over the last two years. Each district has experienced increases in murders, robberies, and aggravated assaults. Keep Dallas Safe was formed to raise awareness and pressure city leadership to take the problem seriously.
Our efforts have been successful.
At our urging, the City Council re-funded the Police Overtime budget after their idiotic attempt at virtue signaling to the far-left failed, but not before causing a direct increase in violence in under patrolled areas.
We were involved heavily in the selection of our new police chief, Eddie Garcia from San Jose. While we were admittedly a little unnerved due to his past assignment, he has shown the diligence, intelligence and respect for his officers that was sorely missing from the department. His efforts are reducing crime, but not as fast as we would like.
Chief Garcia has repeatedly made it clear that while his crime prevention plan has the potential to become THE model Violent Crime Reduction Plan for cities across America, it CANNOT work without proper funding.
The upcoming City Budget, which will be drafted by City Manager T.C. Broadnax and approved by the council MUST include an increase in funding for the DPD. We need MORE than the proposed 250 additional officers, and we need MORE funding to expand the crime prevention plan into every neighborhood in Dallas.
This is where YOU should do YOUR part.
Keep Dallas Safe has made a name for itself by unequivocally supporting the efforts of anyone who wants to decrease crime in Dallas.
We have proven consistently that we do not back down until we see results, and while our tactics may at times seem extreme, they WORK!
We appreciate your support, but your financial contribution is necessary for us to continue the good work we have been doing in Dallas over the last year.
Our goal is to raise $250,000 by the end of 2021.
These funds are required to sustain our goal of a Safe Dallas. We use these funds for educational outreach, social media awareness programs, officer appreciation events, merchandise to spread the word and travel expenses for meetings with those who can not only listen to our message, but enact real change, here, and in the Capitol.
